Since the start of 2020, the world has been battling to control the spread of a “mysterious respiratory virus” with early cases reported in Wuhan province in China. With symptoms similar to that of pneumonia with strains coming from coronavirus, the World Health Organization (WHO) identified it as COVID-19.
The heroic acts of our countrymen serving the frontlines was highlighted despite the spread of the virus.
MCU, a health sciences institution since 1904, today has numerous frontliners currently engaged in this battle. Over a thousand Centralino health workers are fervently serving the frontlines for they are doing a noble job to flatten the curve of this pandemic.

“Challenge” is a big and common factor but the nurturing and resilient value of a Centralino fuels its alumni to continuously serve despite experiencing difficulties in line of duty.
A snappy salute to all Centralinos who are passionately serving the frontlines.
(The following are testimonies of MCU alumni who are of serving the frontlines in this time of pandemic.)
