Over 200 MCU students, employees and other volunteers participated in the annual blood-letting drive that resulted to more than 170 bags of blood collected. The bags were donated to the Philippine Red Cross, Philippine Children’s Medical Center and the MCU Hospital.

The blood-letting drive, dubbed as “Dugo mo, Buhay ko” was held last January 17, 2020 at the MCU University Clinic, Nursing Skills Laboratory, and Guidance and Counseling Center testing room. All donors were thoroughly screened and checked for their vital signs, blood type and medical history.

The event is part of the MCU community’s social responsibility programs that highlights the importance of blood donation for both the donor and its beneficiaries. Blood donation is a way of saving lives as it maintains blood supply for patients in need.

This annual activity was organized by the Office of Student Affairs in collaboration with the MCU Red Cross Youth Council.
