Manila Central University (MCU) and Chung Shan Medical University (CSMU) of Taichung, Taiwan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on May 31, 2019 in MCU Caloocan City, Philippines.

The understanding between MCU and CSMU extends the partnership in the scope of education, research, and services at both universities. Both institutions have agreed to build a collaborative relationship in terms of student and faculty exchange program, and participation in joint research programs and publications.

In the same forum, MCU College of Dentistry and the CSMU College of Oral Medicine renewed a Memorandum of Understanding that advances the development of education and healthcare access in both communities through this cooperation.

Signing the agreement were Mrs. Luningning T. Estanislao, MCU President and Dr. Chia Tze-Kao, CSMU Vice President.

Gracing the occasion was Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines, Deputy Representative Minister James Chu.

Also present were Prof. Chuan-Hang Yu, Chair of Special Need Oral Care Department (CSMU), Mr. Raymond S. Manlapas, MCU Assistant to the President, Dr. Renato C. Tanchoco Jr., MCU Vice President for Planning and External Affairs, and Dr. Ma. Cristina Aurea G. Garcia, Dean of MCU College of Dentistry.

In the occasion were Mr. Ira Daniel B. Maniquis, MCU Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Hernando R. Gomez, Director for Human Resources, deans, department heads, and faculty members.
