Officials from several hospitals in Japan and representatives from the Japan – Philippines Science and Technology (JPST) visited Manila Central University (MCU) last April 25, 2019 for a consultation on academic linkage.

The visit was in connection with the proposed partnership between JPST and MCU for the establishment of a Caregiving program. JPST is committed to provide MCU the necessary equipment that will simulate the actual set-up that students will encounter once they finish the program and be deployed in various hospitals in Japan.
JPST is in charge of coordinating and affiliating with schools in the Philippines on Caregiving courses. It also provides Japanese Language Training that will be integrated in the curriculum.

Among those who are present were Mrs. Luningning T. Estanislao, MCU President, Mr. Raymond S. Manlapas, Assistant to the President, Dr. Ramon C. Cercado, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Renato Tanchoco Jr., Vice President for Planning and External Affairs, Mr. Ira Daniel B. Maniquis, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Mr. Erwin D. Roxas, Vice President for Finance, and Prof. Melvin D. Miranda, Dean of College of Nursing, MCU Nursing students and faculty members.
