Manila Central University (MCU) Research and Development Center (RDC) held its Annual Intercollegiate Research Contest last February 2, 2018 at the Tanchoco Auditorium. Of the 42 research entries submitted for this year’s competition, six high-caliber researches qualified for the final recognition.

The College of Dentistry won in the Experimental Category for their research on “The Effect of Stress in Reducing Patients’ Anxiety Level Undergoing Tooth Extraction” while the College of Business and Technology and the School of Graduate Studies’ research on “Organizational Diagnosis: The Key for Educational Leadership” bagged the Best Paper in the Descriptive Category of the contest.
Prof. Venus A. Solar, the MCU Research Director in her remarks said that the work done by the students and professors reflect the research orientation of MCU.
The other top researches were from College of Arts and Sciences, College of Nursing and College of Pharmacy.

As a testimony to MCU’s research-orientation, students and faculty members who have made an outstanding contributions in the field of research were recognized.

The manuscript peer reviewers were Dr. Edwin Tadiosa of the National Museum of the Philippines, Prof. Charlie Batin of the Mariano Marcos State University, Dr. Jerome Cleofas of the St. Paul University, Prof. Ivan Lawag of the San Beda University, Dr. Jose Mallari, MCU Lead Researcher and Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, and Prof. Venus A. Solar, MCU Research Director.
