“Together with the advancement of our academic programs are improvements we have completed and are undertaking on facilities that complement the students’ education, research, health, sports and other well-being needs,” Dr. Aristotle T. Malabanan, MCU President once said in a commencement address. “These projects are part of MCU’s continuing effort to improve its facilities for the benefit of its students, faculty and employees.”

This message was highlighted during the MCU Basic Education (BEd) Complex Groundbreaking Ceremony held today, January 12, 2017 at the BEd Quadrangle.

In terms of facilities, this is the MCU direction. The Learning Resource Center (LRC) was completed in 2010 while the Purple Owl Complex was inaugurated last 2014.

Dr. Ramon C. Cercado, Vice President for Academic Affairs in his opening remarks said that the continuing effort of the Administration in facilities improvement complements MCU’s determined drive for academic excellence.

Special guests during the ceremony were former principals Mrs. Riorica L. Navarro (1989-2006) and Ms. Remedios S. Batac (2006-2010), and former Principal’s Coordinator Dr. Maria Visitacion Fernandez (2006-2010).

The historic event was witnessed by Basic Education students, administrators, deans, department heads, faculty members and employees.
