Over 250 donors composed of MCU students, employees and other volunteers participated in the annual blood-letting drive that resulted to more than 140 bags of blood that were donated to the Philippine Red Cross, Philippine Children’s Medical Center and the MCU Hospital.

The blood-letting drive, dubbed as “Dugo mo, Buhay ko” was held last January 19, 2017 at the University Clinic, Nursing Skills Laboratory and Guidance and Placement Office testing room. All donors were thoroughly screened and checked for their vital signs, blood type and medical history.

The activity is part of the MCU community’s social responsibility programs. The event highlights the importance of blood donation for both the donor and its beneficiaries. Blood donation is a way of saving lives as it maintains a supply of blood for patients in need.
This annual activity was organized by the Health Services Department in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs.
