“The key to a successful board examination result is repetition. I kept reading my reviewers until before the exam. The more you read, the more you get used to it,” Ric Jason Javier, 9th placer in the August 2015 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination said. “This is the same with practical application. The more you encounter (patient) situations, the more you get used to these.”

Javier had good education and training at Manila Central University (MCU) with five years at the MCU College of Physical Therapy, internship and four months of board exam review. MCU he said, provided students the opportunity to excel.

“We (the MCU students) had an ideal learning environment. We were made to explore new knowledge, given exposure through internships and trained to be successful Physical Therapists,” Javier said.

Landing 9th place in the board exam came as a surprise to Javier, a Filemon D. Tanchoco scholar.

“I know the other topnotchers. A lot of them are cum laude which I am not,” Javier said. “The first time I heard about the news was through a friend who saw it posted online a day before the results date. So, that made me feel both uncertain and surprised.”

The other MCU board passers are Jermie V. Avila, Clarissa G. Cruz, Jonas L. Estrella, Lou Anthonie P. Gaspar, Frances B. Livelo, Charles Erbe D.P. Lubrica, Arryl Jon B. Puchero, and Richard J. Sese.
