COLLEGE OF PHYSICAL THERAPY
The growing awareness of the need to rehabilitate disabled patients and the outstanding scientific breakthroughs in rehabilitation increased the demand for Physical Therapists.
As MCU is predominantly a science-based institution it was compelled to set-up the College of Physical Therapy to accommodate the changing needs of the society.<
In 1995 the Manila Central University College of Physical Therapy was established. It boasts of very competent faculty members and very modern instruments and facilities which the students use to gain firsthand experience in the treatment of patients. It has likewise been recognized by the Commission on Higher Education and was subsequently accredited by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities – Commission on Accreditation (PACU-COA).

MISSION:
We develop individuals into well-rounded professionals with desirable personal traits through leadership in education, competent instruction, and research, and the creation of centers of knowledge for their chosen fields of specialization, thereby enabling them to participate actively in community and national development for the love of country and dedication to public service.
OBJECTIVES:
- To provide theoretical courses that will adequately prepare the students for clinical practice as physical therapists, researchers and academicians.
- To develop clinical competence among the students through comprehensive instruction and hands-on training.
- To encourage research and community involvement among the students that will contribute to the health needs of the various sectors of the society.
- To motivate students for higher learning experiences and continuous professional growth and instill among them keen sense of responsibility, compassion and empathy for patients.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:
CPT continues to strengthen its commitment to the community through its Community-Based Rehabilitation Program (CBRP). Every Wednesdays, the 3rd & 4th year PT students volunteer to render free PT services to San Pablo Apostol parishioners in its parish-based clinic in Velasquez, Tondo. The 5th year PT students likewise render their free PT services every 3rd Saturdays of the month as part of their Clinical Internship Program
